~Choices ... and ... Regrets~

Man sitting alone on a beach

If you live long enough you will have regrets about something. And, the first regrets that hit you are the ones where you knew you had a choice; where you knew you could stop yourself, but didn't. You stared at yourself in the mirror, and everything inside of you said don't do this and you did it any way. And, in the end you realized how detrimental your choices became.

The wrong choices we make can affect a relationship or a situation to the greater worst.

However,  no relationship is perfect, ever. There are always a time when you have to bend, to compromise, to give something up in order to gain something greater ... The love you have for each other is bigger and greater than the little differences you encounter.  And that's the key. We can compare this to a pie chart, and the love in a relationship has to be the biggest piece. The love you have for each other can make up for a lot of short comings you and your relationship may encounter.

Problems in a relationship can occur due to lack of direction and/or lack of quality time being spent together. When problems are encountered in a relationship they just don't go away with time. They get worst unless you deal with them immediately. Holding on to problems and not discussing them are simply not good for any relations.

Robert Frost said " The best way out of a problem is always through".  Most times going through a storm makes for a stronger man and woman once they come out of it.

We  can learn to enjoy the journey of life, even when it takes us in a different direction than we had planned. Hold this truth deep in your heart.

This may seem out of place, but learning to let go of something or someone can sometimes and most times release you from your past.

I guess you can call this an abstract  writing...
